The breakfast has a good choice of food and drinks - although watch what you leave on the tables as the seagulls will make their move. Drinks at the hotel bar are reasonably priced and the cocktails are good. I would recommend getting your sunbed early as you have to get your own off a stack - slightly strange for a four star hotel. The pools are small and the location of the hotel doesn’t offer much variety of restaurants around it. Price to and from the airport in a taxi is just under €50. Read Less

I’ve seen some poor feedback on here that I quite frankly find ridiculous, I personally received comments from 4 couples saying we made there weekend else it would of been boring for them, we received no negative vibes or sign of complaint I spoke to staff and asked if we were ok and they suggested it was good to have us.
The hotel is amazing the staff exceptional and the couples there didn’t prevent our enjoyment
I give this hotel the complete thumbs up
If people are anti groups they should ask the right questions of the hotels before they book unless they just prefer to have something to complain about

The pool area is lovely and your never fighting for sun beds. There's some toliets and showers next to the pool so if you check out and your flight is later you can still use all the facilities and lounge around the pool side and grab a shower..there's also a luggage room too.
The rooms are lovely and the roof terrace is amazing with some spectacular views...defiantly worth a look.
The food is really good. Breakfast is lovely and there's something for everyone even if your really fussy. We went half board so the evening meal you pick from three choices from a set menu...it was amazing.
The staff are polite and helpful and arranged our transfer to the airport no problem at all.
The beach is exsessable from the back gate near the pool you have to use your key card which is a good thing. You simply follow the road down to some steps then your on the beautiful beach.
The strip is literally 5 minutes up the road where your find bars and restaurants galore.
I'm sad to be going home but I will 100% be staying here again...it was just lovely. Read Less

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est juste parfait, tout est à côté, très pratique !
Je vous conseille de vous rendre à la plage qui est situé derrière l’hôtel à 5-10min à pied, elle est magnifique.
Vous avez un HyperMarché à côté (5min) et pleins de bars/restaurants.
Enfin quelques conseils pour faire des activités, je vous conseille d’aller à Portimão (Playa Da Rocha) une plage splendide !
N’oubliez pas de faire la balade en bateau pour aller voir Benagil, c’est magique!
Bref un très bon séjour à Albufeira 🙂

The only two negatives that I could come up with were - the noise from the hotel bar as they are playing music. Some of it we could hear in our room. And the second is that the rooftop terrace no longer operates as it is shown in the pictures.
We also went to a close 5 star hotel for breakfast and other occasion and we believe we prefered this hotel over the 5 star resort. Last, but not least, the beach is very close by and so are the restaurants. Read Less

Room- excellent, we had an excellent view! The beds were really comfy and the room was cleaned daily. Fully equipped bathroom!
Pool area- excellent subbed availabilty with no rush to hold beds are there are plenty available. Pool area is calm and peaceful with a slightly pricy outside bar.
Location- beach within 5 mins. Old town within 5 minutes taxi- 6 euro. Only fault which has nothing to do with hotel but location- we wouldn’t stay in the “strip” area again. Thankfully the hotel was so peaceful and served good lunch that we didn’t have the need to leave throughout the day- the area isn’t the appealing for those on a relaxing summer holiday but the hotel certainly makes up for that.
The only thing the hotel lacks is some entertainment. We appreciate that it is adults only and sometimes entertainment is solely centred around kids. However, it would create a nice holiday atmosphere and keep people in the hotel for longer. This would avoid the need for a taxi que of people to the old town at 7pm.
We also had problems with our air conditioning in the room. Hotel maintenance attended to this but it soon went back to blowing out warm air. Not very pleasant to wake up to the heating on in your room.
All in all a fantastic hotel which we felt really safe in! Read Less

Yes, they were a bit lad, lad, lad around the pool at points and one of the big guys it group, think his name was Danny, was a bit full on. There was another had the brightest teeth, it was blinding! Had to go upgrade the sun glasses! Apart from that they were great. Crystal being my favourite... he was a bit stiff! But def knew how to make a girl smile!!
All in all great time had by all!!

The room was clean but the view awful. It looked over waste ground with the sea very much in the distance. The balcony was tiny and I had a few bruises and scratches trying to get in and out. I missed being able to sit and look out at a view. The breakfasts and lunches in the restaurant were fine. Pool area clean but very quiet but some people like that. Absolutely loved going down the hill and 98 steps to the beach. More atmosphere down there and the Beach Caffe was fabulous. Great staff there who helped with everything. A guy sold donuts on the beach and they were delish. The walk back up the 98 steps is not for the faint hearted as it was boiling. But if you want a bit of life the beach is the place. Back at the hotel the staff were lovely and cheerful. 10 mins walk takes you to the Strip. Some nice restaurants and bars there but a bit rowdy at the weekends. Loved going to Pacha with my daughter for cocktails and tunes and felt very safe there with their lovely staff. Would I return to this hotel? Yes probably but only if I could get a pool view. We went up onto the hotel roof and the views were amazing. The area round the hotel was quite run down in places but it was good fun and it was easy to get to the Old Town by taxi if you fancy a change of scenery. The Hotel is immaculate both in public areas and the bedrooms which are cleaned with towel change daily. There is a hairdryer and good sized safe in the room & ample wardrobe space with many coat hangers provided The Beach is a public one which you access via the back gate of the Hotel and is a little way down a lane - and a lot of steps. The Beach itself is lovely.
We were Bed & Breakfast but ate an evening meal in the Hotel the 1st night - it was like a comedy sketch - poor service & inconsistent portion size between the different diners which culminated in the smallest sliver of cheesecake ever which was still frozen which we and other residents there were not able to eat! The breakfasts however were consistently good with an amazing amount of choice and the breakfast staff were efficient and friendly. The pool area was small and overcrowded - we never visited it but noticed no one used the pool so guess the water was cold. This is an Adult only Hotel, a plus point for me. It is also ideally placed just 5 minutes walk from 'the Strip' with plenty of Bars, Restaurants and Shops (mostly selling the same 'holiday' wares). It is about a gentle 40 minute, very pleasant walk to Albufeira. There is a Supermarket for all you could need closeby to the Hotel and a very good Italian Restaurant called Paulus Pizzeria. On the Strip we particularly liked The Market Restaurant at the end closest the Seafront. Overall we were very pleased with this Hotel and would recommend others to visit. Read Less

Read MoreMy girlfriend and I booked this hotel back in November for a relaxing 10 day break. The hotel, staff, facilities, bedroom, cleanliness , breakfast quality and choice were all impeccable. Nice food and drinks from the poolside bar; these were a bit expensive however and So were the drinks at the indoor bar too.
Beautiful views from the roof terrace which I would highly recommend going up to have a look. Good location of the hotel , 2 minute walk from the beach via the back gate in the pool area. The beach directly beneath the hotel isn’t as good as the one further along to the right nearer to Albuferia with all the water sport activities. Bedrooms were cleaned and beds made to a spotless standard every day and bathroom towels were replenished along with clean drinking glasses etc. 30 minute walk from Albuferia which is a good location for food and drink. The local strip didn’t offer much in terms of good quality places to eat although we did find a beautiful Italian called “Italian republic” to the left on the roundabout opposite the strip which we visited 3 times during our stay. We also ate at Donaldo’s which was nice along with a pizza place near the supermarket round the corner called Paulus’s pizzeria. Some good bars and entertainment nearby on the strip and in Albuferia. A beautiful ice cream parlour on the round about too, had one most days. The hotel was placed further enough away to have some peace and quiet at night time.
A good choice of excursions to do. There was an excursions booking office just round the corner from the hotel which was convenient. We did the water park (slide and splash) which was brilliant. We also did buggy safari, great for couples, and we did the boat trip to see the Benagil caves which were fantastic.
The only complaint I would make is the stag do / party that turned up on the Friday that were staying for a long weekend celebrating a 50th birthday. They were Loud, rowdy, immature, drinking constantly, messy, blowing the whistle every 5 minutes. It made other guests feel uncomfortable and not able to properly relax. Every other guest felt on edge, it was clear. They are entitled to enjoy themselves but must also be considerate of Other guests coming to relax. Maybe we should have checked with the hotel before hand if big parties were welcome as this could have been a decision Breaker for us. Other than that, a nice stay and we may return in the future. 🙂 Read Less

Breakfast is buffet style with every possible selections. Cheeses, meats, cereal, fruit, yogurts and pastries. Along with a cooked variety of eggs, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms.
Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening but did have lunch poolside and that was delicious.
The location is near a few bars and restaurants/cafe style and although the menus are much of a much do shop around for their deals (we had a three course meal for €10.95!)
A five minute walk down to the strip and we caught a bus into the old town one day for only €1.40! (Taxi about €6)

We arrived on our wedding anniversary to a bottle of bubbly and strawberries. Check in was quick and our bags were taken to our sea view room. A large bed, wardrobe, free safe and well equipped bathroom as well as small balcony with table and chairs. Room cleaned and towels changed daily. One set of pool towels . All rooms near lifts, some have pool view and larger balconies. Pool area looks small but plenty of loungers and umbrellas. We were concerned about reports of hen/stag groups however it was very quiet. Two groups of ladies came for a few days but conducted themselves perfectly. We walked to beach (about 5 to 10 min ) with sunbeds for hire and a nice beach café. Pool bar has a varied lunch menu. Breakfast is excellent. A la carte dinner , a 20euro 3course dinner and bbq on Wednesdays. .Nice guitar music one night. However it is very convenient and very worthwhile to take a short walk to the local restaurants. The hotel recommended Churrasqueira Beira - a friendly, tasty and very reasonable place where the locals eat too!. The Sizzling Stone was very tasty with good staff and lovely surroundings.There are a few supermarkets, gift shops and bars. A short 5 or 6 euro taxi ride to the Old Town. The bar was quiet with gentle music and closed around 11.30. Finally, as advertised there are no children. Just as we wanted it. A quiet relaxing holiday with good food and nice people. Read Less

The hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, comfy beds, nice pool area and the beach a short walk from the rear of the hotel. I was a little concerned before arriving that with the strip being in close proximity, the hotel maybe a little lively, however it was very quiet. We visited the old town in the evenings to eat out, which was a 6 euro taxi ride. We went to 2 local beaches while we were there, which were both lovely and a short walk away.
I would choose a quieter town to visit next time, however if I did revisit Albufeira I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel. Read Less

On arriving to the swimming pool, there were lots of different groups around. Couples, solo travellers, birthday celebrations groups and a stag do. All people got on, it was lovely to see a group of people from the stag doing fantastic entertaining in the swimming pool. Other guests joined in the throw and catch game in the water. At the start of the evening, it was fantastic to see the hotel put on entertainment, the highlight for us was the life whale entertainment which was on the grass by the bar. Was so realistic and he didn’t move for hours. The second day we attended the beach, it had sun-beds to purchase for a fee and waiters willing to serve you throughout the day. As a family, I was please to see the lifeguards were extremely active! Always running about in their Red shorts. That evening we ate in the restaurant, the veg, salad, cheese and bread roles were something else! We had 3 starters before we moved on to the main, and all for €25 all you can eat, it was perfect! Our final day was spent lazing around the pool. There was no official entertainment, but the stag group who were ever present were ever so accommodating and took song requests and played tunes to suit all ages and created a really good atmosphere in and around the pool. Reception staff were all very helpful throughout our whole time there always answered our questions.
The view from our balcony was sadly just another hotel/apartment block opposite so I didnt use the balcony as much as I normally do on all my other holidays.
I didnt book pool view this time as the 10 day holiday cost us £2000 as it was so just couldnt justify spending even more.
The room itself was spacious enough. Shower worked perfectly and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom for the ladies.
The bed was huge and so comfy.
Aircon worked great the whole time had 3 settings which was good to.
The wifi worked for me the whole time not as well for my other half but was fine on my phone.
If you need an iron and ironing board just ask they will bring one up to your room.
The safe in the room was easy to use to.
The breakfast was fantastic. So much variety and I enjoyed it 10 days straight. The restaurant itself is modern and clean.
The pool was to quiet for us as a young couple. We loved the fact no kids were there but everyone was very crammed together so you couldnt have a private conversation as you are literally right next to someone else. The pool was lovely but we much preferred the beach just a 10 min board walk down from hotel. We found our own private spot on the beach so only had 1 pool day.
We found drinks prices expensive! But to be honest we found that all over Albufeira. Unless your just drinking the beer on tap!
The roof terrace was nice to chill and get away on your own.
Easy 5-10 min walk to the Albufeira strip which was great fun and loads of places to eat.
The old town was a quick train ride away €6 there and back was fab!

Catamaran mara full day boat trip with BBQ.
Sunset BBQ boat trip amazing.
Aquashow waterpark.
Also visit Lagos/Cape St Vincent and Begile Cave!

Read MoreThe hotel was spotlessly clean and the facilities were excellent. Only trouble we had was getting towels for the pool, they should have been in the room on our arrival but there were none there so we had to ask at reception but they didn't have any available so they gave us normal towels. This happened 5 days in a row when we eventually got the pool towels - there seemed to be a shortage of towels for the pool at the hotel. The pool was smallish and very cold and there didn't seem to be any trouble getting sunbeds. Notice some Brits were putting towels on the sunbeds before breakfast which is a pet hate of mine! The location was good - we upgraded to a Superior Double with side sea view which was great as we weren't overlooked and it was quiet at night time. The maids came in every day to clean and make beds. We didn't tend to eat in the area of the hotel as we preferred the old town which is around a 30 minute walk away. There was a lovely seafood restaurant very close to the hotel called Cais ao Mar which was quite expensive but the service and food was excellent. I wouldn't recommend the beach at the back of the hotel as the sand shifted too much in the water, instead use the St Eulalia beach which was around a 15 minute walk from the hotel. We booked a trip that involved a jeep safari to the Monchique mountains and a boat trip, it was excellent because our driver George was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of information, he was also a great entertainer. Nous y avons passé d'agréables moments. Le personnel est gentil. Le hall où est situé le bars et l'entrée du restaurant est magnifique. Notre chambre était spacieuse. Le buffet du petit déjeuné était excellent excepté le café. L'extérieur est très agréable avec deux piscines et suffisamment de transats même au mois d'août néanmoins la piscine est alimenté à l'eau de mer, elle est toujours très froide (maximum 20°). Il y a un accès à une plage à 5 min. L'hôtel est bien situé bien qu'un peu loin du centre d'Albufeira. Aucun enfant dans l'hôtel : un bonheur ! Read Less

Only down side was on our last day a stag group checked in and took over the pool area. I work in a behaviour school and know for a fact they were waiting to be told off to tone it down, but they weren’t so they got more and more drunk, and more and more annoying. The breakfast is great, huge selection of hot and cold and all tastes really nice with the exception of the coffee. It's from one of those do it all machines and is the only fault I could find with the breakfast. The view from our room was beautiful and it was lovely sitting out on the balcony on warm evenings. There's a great restaurant on the strip, the market. I'd highly recommend it and it's only a 5 minute walk from hotel. FYI, people reserve the good sunbeds with towels early in the morning. Read Less
